Though there are many types of Psychics in the world (Medium, Healer, Intuitive, Channel, etc), there is one that is often overlooked: the Oracle. An Oracle is a person who channels often without knowing they are channeling. They tell you what you need to know, help you how the Divine believes you need help, all in unconventional ways. They are a spiritual guide who take you on a journey and you may not even realize it. You may be an Oracle yourself.
The difference is mainly where readings are concerned. A Psychic will answer your direct questions, such as if they see love or a new career entering your life. They may predict the future or give you specific details about your life. But an Oracle may give you channeled guidance and tell you what you need to hear in order to put you on your Divine path. You may not think you are getting the reading you want, but their insight can cause a chain reaction that leads you exactly where you need to go. When seeing a Psychic, or even giving a reading to someone yourself, check in with what the reading feels like to you. Do you feel challenged? Do you feel like arguing, or that your insight is not clear? You may be involved in an Oracle reading.
An example of a Psychic vs. Oracle reading is when you pull a Tarot card and it tells you, “Your road ahead is long and dark, with many turns. Be careful not to wander off your path.” This is more than insight, it is guidance, and may lead you to react or change your current course simply because of the statement. It is an Oracle insight. A Psychic reading would consist more of a reader stating, “You will meet a tall, dark and handsome man in two week’s time.” The insight is clear and to the point.
Oracles are regular people, too, who can simply be a friend who says the right thing at the right time, to comfort or assist you. They give guidance when least expected. You may find yourself saying things that you don’t remember saying to someone that really impacted them, which is allowing the Divine to speak through you. Recognizing this gift is the first step in growing and nurturing this ability. And it can often be accompanied by other gifts such as clairvoyance, channeling and mediumship. Most Psychics use a variety of methods when doing a reading. But the Oracle is specifically someone who doesn’t always have the answers, but gives guidance when needed. And they tend to be the least recognized for their assistance. What comes to pass later might not be seen as a product of the help of an Oracle. But Oracles tend to be okay with no reward, for they are here in this life to be of Divine service.
