Witch vs Psychic

Witches have been around for ages, long before the age of metaphysical awareness. They were the originals, the gypsies, the pagans, the intutives and healers, in touch with nature and natural remedies for the sick. They were also feared by those who did not understand them, and for some witches, dark magic was practiced and created the bad reputation that would follow them through history, a legacy they continue to fight to overturn.

Psychics were often witches, for it was one talent that came naturally to some, and they sought a place to explore their visions and skill. The modern Psychic can also be a witch, but there are distinct differences between the two in today’s world.

Psychic is a broad term, but is generally a seer, someone who can see beyond the physical. There are different ways to see, so Psychics can be clairvoyant, empathic, medium or a great many other names which create a distinction among the strongest gift they possess. Psychics typically have visions or feelings about a situation or person that comes to pass, and can often help others in making life decisions with advice heard or felt from those on the other side. It is a gift of clarity.

Witches, however, though some possess these psychic gifts, are typically those who rely on spells to make remedies for issues on both the physical or emotional levels. Many enjoy working as a group (coven) to build a stronger energy to stand behind their spells in order to manifest. The reputation of spells being used for dark purposes still lingers among the general population, but the the truth is witches tend to make spells to heal, manifest, help and create good things in the world. Witches and Psychics both have the same goal typically, to use their gifts to help the world. And that is the most important fact to remember.
